This text is for students of 9th and 10th grade for informational reading about the logic of green technologies. The students are expected to delineate and evaluate the argument and specific claims in the text and assess whether the reasoning used is sound and the evidence is relevant and sufficient, they also need to be able to recognize irrelevant evidence when introduced in the text. The students should be able to determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in the texts, analyze their cumulative impact of specific word choices on meaning and tone (e.g. how the language of the court differs from that of a newspaper).
