Mickey Mouse and Friends Character Guide

Max Goof is the son of the iconic Disney character Goofy. Even though he is quite rebellious at times, and often embarrassed by his father's clumsiness, he loves his dad very much.
Max made his debut in the 1960's under the name Junior. He appeared first, as Max, in the 1992 television series Goof Troop. He also stared in the spin-off movie A Goofy Movie and its direct-to-video sequel An Extremely Goofy Movie; the direct-to-video Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas and its sequel Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas; and the 2001 TV series House of Mouse (as a parking valet). He is P.J.'s best friend.
Max is one of the few Disney characters, aside from his best friend P.J. and Huey, Dewey, and Louie child or otherwise, who has actually aged in subsequent appearances. He was depicted as an 11-year-old in Goof Troop, then a teenager in high school in A Goofy Movie, then in An Extremely Goofy Movie he turns 18 years old. In House of Mouse, he is old enough to be employed as a valet.
Max's main goal in generally to fit in or be considered cool. He can be quite headstrong and rebellious at times. He is often embarrassed by his father's clumsiness, and seems to have a fear that he will inherit that lack of coordination. However he loves his father, Goofy, very much and cares deeply for him.
